Whether it be directly or indirectly, the sun contributes to most renewable energy sources. Solar Energy or sunlight, is being used directly for residential, commercial and industrial electricity. Businesses and homeowners are coming to realize that solar energy is able to generate enough electricity for their lighting, heating, hot water and a variety of other electric uses no matter the size. NWRES is currently performing research to improve our solar energy systems.
